How I got started in real estate

It was a wild start.

Since I was young, I've been fascinated by entrepreneurship.

My favorite marketing professor in college urged me to go into sales and I laughed at him. But then I bought my first home and felt drawn to the process and the potential that real estate wealth can provide people.

Starting out with a newly framed real estate license and lots of youthful enthusiasm, I quickly saw how much I had to learn.

That first was wild.
As a fresh face in the industry, I was staring down one hurdle after another — mostly of my own making.

I was feeling major imposter syndrome, paralyzed by fear of failure, and struggling with comparing myself to other veteran agents big time. Every day felt like my first day on the job.

In year three, things started to click. I found my groove, my people and I felt less like an imposter.

During those years, I was so lucky to have mentors who took me under their wing — where would I be without you, Candace Decker & Craig DeBoor? They gave priceless advice, wisdom, and sometimes the hard truth I needed to hear.

As great as things were, nothing is ever certain - especially in real estate! Deals unravel at the last minute and the market swings can give you whiplash.

The good news is that I'm a bit more seasoned now. I’ve learned to embrace the unpredictability without it rocking me like it used to, and most days, I see hiccups and setbacks as chances to put what I’ve learned to the test.

Today, I’m filled with gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead. I'm so thankful for the business I've built with the help of others—one that's rooted in trust and genuine relationships.
So whether you’ve bought or sold with me, want to in the future, or are a friend and supporter, thank you. As I look ahead, I can’t wait to see what adventures the future has in store!
