July 2020 Market Update

HERE'S YOUR NORTHERN ILLINOIS JULY MARKET UPDATE

McHenry County: We saw a 28% increase in homes sold in July over June and a 25% increase from July of last year.

Lake County: We saw a 32% increase in homes sold in July compared to the previous month and a 28% increase from this time last year.

Cook County: We saw a 33% increase in homes sold in July compared to June, but just a 5% increase from July of 2019.

We are continuing to see a very active market as interest rates remain low. We are also starting to see a trend of people from the city or near suburbs looking to purchase homes further north. It will be interesting to see how changes in work from home and other factors impact this trend going forward.
