The thing about first impressions? They're made in 8 seconds

8 seconds....
That's the amount of time you have to make an impression on a potential buyer. I always tell my sellers, “You don’t get a second chance at a first impression.” That’s why we focus so much on prepping the home – to make sure the first impression is an impressive one! Here’s how we do it:

WORK ON CURB APPEAL – Especially with winter winding down, it’s time to spruce up the exterior. Plant pops of spring flowers, refresh the mulch, and hire a few helping hands to ensure the yard is free of debris, dead leaves, and tree limbs.

DECLUTTER - Clutter can turn off buyers in seconds — I’ve seen it firsthand. I encourage my clients to put themselves in the shoes of a stranger walking through the house. When you list your home, it no longer is yours – it becomes potential buyers’ and it should show accordingly.

FOLLOW MY STAGING ADVICE - I provide my clients with a staging checklist to work on prior to listing and bring in my own staging accessories to enhance the space (or larger pieces from my staging partners). One reason I typically recommend it? It’s been reported that staged homes spend 73% less time on the market compared to homes that haven’t been staged.
